Elena of Avalor is an American computer-animated television series developed for Disney Junior by Craig Gerber. It is about a teen princess Elena as she assumes the role of Crown Princess after her parents were killed, having to learn the ropes of leadership before she can officially be queen when she comes of age. It is in the same shared universe as Sofia the First, also created by Gerber, and while not a spin-off,[1] as dismissed by Gerber himself,[2][3] the Amulet of Avalor, a significant object within the latter does link the two series together, which is fully explained in the crossover film, Elena and the Secret of Avalor, airing on the Disney Channel on November 20, 2016.
The series premiered on Disney Channel on July 22, 2016, with "First Day of Rule", and ended on August 23, 2020, with "Coronation Day". In total there have been 77 episodes and three seasons.

There have been four short-form series (each with five segments) spun-off from Elena of Avalor. The first was in 2017, with Adventures in Vallestrella, then two in 2018, with Scepter Training with Zuzo and The Secret Life of Sirenas, and the fourth and final one in 2019, with Discovering the Magic Within. All have been aired on Disney Junior, as well as been posted officially online.
